Know Your Strain: Blue Hawaiian

With all of the options these days, it is almost impossible to keep track of all the pot strains and accessories on the market. Luckily, The Pot Vault is here to help with our new running series, Know Your Strain, to keep you up to date on everything that’s out there.

Today, we’ll be catching you up on a beloved classic, Blue Hawaiian.

Where Does Blue Hawaiian Come From?

Blue Hawaiian was first created by local breeding op, Jordan of the Islands, right here in BC. It is a combination of two other standbys, Blueberry Kush and Hawaiian Sativa.

Clocking in at 70% Sativa vs. 30% Indica, Blue Hawaiian is a sativa-dominant hybrid, but provides a nice blend of the effects of both. It also contains a notably high THC level of 24% and a small, but present CBN content of 1%.

Blue Hawaiian also has a distinct look. Its green and orange buds are covered in bright orange and red hairs. Spotty and glistening trichomes cover the buds, which can make it sticky and difficult to break up without a grinder.

What Does Blue Hawaiian Taste Like?

Blue Hawaiian has a very distinguishable taste. Living up to its name, you will notice a clear fruity flavor reminiscent of pineapple and pine.

Its pungent and earthy aroma makes this that smells similar to its fruity tastes. Keep it in a sealed container because its strong smell can be overpowering.

Users often report that Blue Hawaiian is a very smooth and delicious strain to smoke, which does not mean it sacrifices any of its strength. In fact, it is known as a particularly potent strain proving that you can breed taste and power. Speaking of:

What Are The Effects of Blue Hawaiian?

Now we’re getting to the good stuff. As a sativa dominant strain, Blue Hawaiian offers a cerebral and calming high that has always been the key to its appeal. The waves of relaxation will remind you of a sunny day on a sandy beach, or paddling a surfboard around across smooth, rolling waves.

That doesn’t mean it will put you to sleep. In fact, it is actually quite the opposite. This strain is known to produce a warm and euphoric effect and fills the user with calm energy. Users report experiencing a slow buildup of energy, as well as a powerful head high.

The Blue Hawaiian strain also has a number of medicinal effects. Check out this list some of the conditions it can be used to treat:

  • Chronic Pain
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Depression
  • Nausea
  • Chronic Headaches/Migraines

Blue Hawaiian is an excellent daytime strain because of the energy it provides coupled with its relaxing effect. We specifically recommend outdoor activities due to the slight visual distortion that may occur. Exercise, travel, and sex are other ideal pastimes when using this strain.

Where Can I Get It?

Blue Hawaiian is fairly common because it is grown in British Colombia. Beware of imposters though, and always be sure to buy from a legal and trustworthy distributor. You can have it delivered safely and securely from The Pot Vault by clicking here.

In conclusion, Blue Hawaiian is an excellent choice for a calm but euphoric high. Keep it in mind for outdoor and physical activities.
